Penny for thoughts

In a relationship, if every single mistake is punished for, everyone would rather remain single. No one is perfect thus everyone tend to make mistakes. If we don't want to get burned, we should not play with fire. Every married couple will be filing for divorce.

We never know what is in the other party's mind, but one thing we shouldn't forget is to work extremely hard to earn their trust. Not only that, both parties have to make sure things work out. The term compromise seems heavy but this is the true test of a relationship.

Though each of us are shaped by our past, we should not be judging our current partners with an ethnocentric view. What's in the past, let it stay there. We should not treat our partners as though they were involved with our past. 

Learn to accept both their good points and bad points. For this is where it shows our level of maturity in handling a relationship. I always view those who walk out of relationships as chickening out and not trying hard enough to make things work. May Allah bless us all insya'allah.
