If it is...

Life ain't a project but it's already been written. Well-scripted enough for us just to act things out. Though each of us has a life project in mind, how often to we go by the plans? Planning's just planning, destiny's what we succumbed in. Things are not within our control, who are we to pressurise others to join us in our life project. Mostly we settle for something less than the ideal of what we want in our life project.

Each of us has a family to look after, some look after parents while some have to look after their spouses and kids, and some do look after their parents as well as their spouses and kids. We have to remember the contribution made to us by our parents was of the utmost effort. Through thick and thin they managed to raised us to whom we are today. For me, yes many can say i'm selfish or simply narrow, i have decided to take upon the chance to look after my parents for the rest of my life. They have been through so much with me, no matter how much hurt i put to them.

Sometimes, there are those who accepted us with no conditions. It is people like this we have to treasure, not push them away. But what if they just accept us due to mounting pressure from peers? Do they necessarily accept us fully? It's not as though i do not have a life to think of. Me too, wants a wife and kids. But to some extend, not many are willing to take the journey with me. It's not as though having a wife is a lifetime project as well. I do understand whoever my future wife is, she has a own hopes, dreams and goals in life as well. Who am i to say no to things as long as she chooses what is religiously and morally right.

"Fighting has been enjoined upon you while it is hateful to you. But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not" (Al Baqarah : 216).
